FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM YOUR TREATMENTS?
Chinese Medicine can benefit all kinds of people. From individuals who have chronic conditions where progress seems hopeless, to those who are in great health but would just like to amplify their wellness routine with regular preventative medicine treatments. Back pain, anxiety, headaches, trauma, acute injuries, sleep disorders, sinus issues and allergies are just a few of the conditions that Acupuncture can treat.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
No, we do not accept insurance but we can provide an out of network Superbill, which you can submit and depending on your benefits, you may get reimbursed for some or all of your treatment.
DOES IT HURT?
The word Acupuncture 'needle' is really a misnomer. Rather than needles, we use hair-thin pins and insert them with a guide tube to make the process as pain free as possible. Some Acupuncture points you can hardly feel at all, and others will give a quick sensation upon insertion. We call this sensation 'De Qi' and it is what we are aiming for. Occasionally, there may be some mild discomfort when a needle is inserted, but this is rare and the discomfort fades quickly. So no, Acupuncture does not hurt and is most often a very enjoyable experience.
CAN YOU HELP IF I WAS JUST IN A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT?
Acupuncture and massage are incredibly helpful in treating injuries related to motor vehicle accidents (MVA). Most car insurance plans in the state of Oregon have personal injury protection (PIP) coverage that covers medical care at no cost to you.
Once you have a PIP claim number you can call the clinic to get scheduled! We’ll just ask for all of your car insurance information and we can take it from there.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY FIRST ACUPUNCTURE VISIT?
You can best prepare for your Acupuncture visit by wearing loose, comfortable clothing. Also plan on eating a small snack or meal before you come. Other than that, breathe easy knowing that you will be well taken care of here.
